This page is biased towards poker at the moment as that is the main expertise at Online Games Network. If you have other links to suggest use the 'Submit URL' button at the bottom of the page and make your suggestions to the editors.

Site Title and Rank Description
Gamblers Anonymous
We have been asked to include this link here for obvious reasons and are pleased to do so. If you think that you or a friend may have developed an addictive problem with gambling, on or off-line, then this organisation can put you in touch with groups to help you all over the world.
PokerInEurope.Com
The home of the pan-European poker magazine Poker Europa with all its articles archived online. Also, much, much more. Covers poker tournaments and card rooms all over Europe including Russia. Tends to be a little bit slow.
Poker Stars

A magnificent site catering for all levels and budgets. It spreads all sorts of cash games and tournaments, 'game chips for free playing' promotional freerolls and some really big six figure money can be won in some of the bigger tournaments. This is the site that spawned the 2003 and 2004 world series of poker champions. Chris Moneymaker won his $10,000 seat through a satellite at Pokerstars - one of 37 that year - and took home $2.5 MILLION for 1st place. Greg Raymor took the $5 MILLION first prize in 2004 after being one of 316 pokerstars satellite entrants.

The best thing about this site though, are the lengths gone to protect you from online cheats. Impressive audit documentation from two independent companies can be reviewed extensively. There will always be people colluding in cash games on any site, but if you have doubts you can ask for a series of hands to be examined for evidence, every hand played is recorded and archived. A highly professional client for play is provided and constantly reviewed and updated. Altogether highly recommended.

Binion's Horseshoe
The online home of the world famous Las Vegas casino that hosts the World Series Of Poker every Spring. Hotel bookings and reservations for the world series can be made online and as the tournament progresses results are posted online. Unfortunately schedules for the next year are not put up very far in advance, though results for last year do remain.
Poker Pages
A fine site with a multitude of poker-related articles, help pages, news and press releases, tournament schedules, chat rooms and the kicthen sink. Oh yeah, you can actually play poker here for cash too.
The Gambler's Book Club
Great service and great prices covering a fine range of books and videos. If you live outside the USA it is usually cheaper to buy your books here and have them imported than it is to buy them locally.
UKPoker.com
Keeps abreast of poker in the UK and Ireland, including the TV show Late Night Poker heats and finals. Bookstore is overpriced. The site has problems with Netscape.
UK Tournament Poker Software
This site is mainly about the fantastic shareware software that it offers to model UK-style Texas Hold Em, Omaha and 7 Card Stud cash games and tournaments. Easily the best computer players we've ever come across in any software, although it looks amateurish and can be buggy towards the end of a tournament, register it anmyway and get the full version. If it doesn't pay for itself at least a hundred times over - give up poker.
Ultimate Bet
One of the first online card rooms, offers tournaments and cash games for 'play chips' or real money - not to mention the Devilfish. Well respected, tried and tested.
Party Poker
Another quality online card room, propbably the biggest one currently online with tens of thousands of players at any given time. Play all types of poker for cash or just for fun.
Yahoo!
Jack-of-all-trades but master of none, the Yahoo games section still deserves to be mentioned. It does have reasonable implementations of many games (such as chess, reversi and backgammon, card games like blackjack, bridge, canasta and other games like mah jong and even pool). It is free and the site is extremely popular and consequently suffers from all the frustrations that go along with that scenario. If two of you are looking for a quiet game of something then using a private table at Yahoo can be an easy answer, otherwise there is most probably another site offering a better implementation of your chosen game which may take some setting up but will ultimately be more worth while for it.
