You'll find many of them offer spread betting in forex and derivatives in just the same way as a points spread on a basketball or football game.

Site Title and Rank Description
Monopoly Online
The classic and ever popular property speculation finance game, Monopoly. Pogo Games offer the best online implementation of this finance game and this is an in-depth review of the various Monopoly game options, the pros and cons of each and tips on the very best way to play a serious game with friends or complete strangers while avoiding cheats and cheaters as well as just bad losers out to spoil your fun as you push your international property assets to the limit. Pogo is available in several language formats.
Yahoo! Finance
We haven't been great fans of Yahoo on OGN but their online finance section is a place in which they really are superb, and its FREE. Tracking your own portfolio is easy, especially if your holdings are quoted on the NYSE or NASDAQ but also on the London exchange. Lots of sites will let you do this but there is none better (that we have found) for letting you arrange your portfolio in the way you want it, and especially none better at pointing you to all relevant, up to the minute breaking news stories affecting financial stocks in your portfolio(s) - Yes, you can manage multiple portfoilios if you like. Oh yeah, and their price tickers are now real time too! Throw in the free e-mail etc that you get with joining up with a free Yahoo account, this really is a site anyone interested in the finance games of investments or trading stocks and shares should be checking out.
Telegraph Fantasy Football

If you are a soccer fan, and more to the point a fan of the English football, then fantasy football is a fun way to have a go at winning some cash prizes while also helping you to keep up to date with the latest injury news, form of players and teams - all of which is key if you also enjoy betting on football. There are many gams of fantasy football out there, some are free to play, others cost a small amount, some offer bigger prixes than others. We at OGN prefer the Telegraph's fantasy football league because it offers the chance of some big cash prizes and is very well run in terms of games design. Fully up-to-date with the 2011/12 season rules this link offers winning tips picked up from participation last season.
Sky Sports Super 6
Free sports betting site. Predict the final score 6 pre-selected football matches each Saturday. The best attempt is paid 5000 GB pounds each week (ties are decided by the time of a 'golden goal' you also predict) and any weekly winner who manages to predict all 6 game scores correctly wins 100,000 GB pounds! Not bad for a completely free-to-enter competition we think. Certain weeks are designated jackpot weeks when the weekly prizes are doubled. This season, that is 2011/12 season, anyone scoring 3 or 4 correct scores in a single week (not as easy as it sounds, OGN editors have achieved 3 right in a week twice only in the last two seasons) are placed in a prize draw for 250 or 500 GB pounds respectively. Anyone predicting 5 correct scores gets their choice of an iPad or XBOX. Why not have a go, what have you got to lose?
Interactive Investor
An easy means to track stocks and shares and other financial matters for the UK investor. Comprises a free portfolio tracker, easy and cheap means for buying and selling shares on the London stock exchange, the NASDAQ and the NYSE. If they don't list the company you are interested in then a live online chat with one of their staff can get it added to their database within hours. That's service! Also include lots of current news news, company fundamentals and charts and other investment related info.
Mad Money TV shows

Cramer's Mad Money Re-cap
A site which re-caps Jim Cramer's latest thinking on the US stock markets and detailing his stock tips for speculative buys. Note the emphasis on speculation. His TV programme is called 'Mad Money' for a reason - because its for the finance game or speculative end of your portfolio where the biggest risks are taken with potentially bigger wins and losses to be made. Cramer does have a great track record for picking out future bull markets and even when he's wrong his thinking is usually sound and interesting anyway. Beware following the 'lightning round' picks. The lightning round is a gimick within the program showing off his wide knowledge of individual stocks and his speed of recall about them - but he does sometimes make mistakes due to the pressure he puts himself under and hence OGN editors urge caution and extra homework on any Lightning round pick. If you fancy watching the entertaining TV shows themselves, they are also made available just a few hours after initial broadcast.
Stock Homework 101

Another Jim Cramer site giving a step-by-step guide on how to research a company and its stock. This information is invaluable to investors and if you are a beginner in stock market investments then this site could teach you a great deal about company research and how to go about it. Even if you are not a beginner, this site has much to offer in the way of reminding us not to skimp on our research and that once bought it is perhaps even more important to keep up with it. In effect this site is a checklist on everything the investor should be doing to gain or maintain knowledge with regards to a stock both before and after purchase.
